WALNUT HILLS, OH ( FOX19) -

Assault charges have been filed against two brothers who were arrested on the charge of murder in a Walnut Hills shooting that killed a 14-year-old boy.

Hamilton County Prosecutor's office said a grand jury on Monday indicted Miniko Hicks, 20, and Donyell Walker, 18, on four counts of felonious assault, but the murder charge was ignored.

14-year-old JaShawn Martin died on March 14 after allegedly being shot by the suspects. The shooting reportedly happened amidst a fight that broke out near Reading Road at the corner of Essex Place and William Howard Taft.

Three others were hurt in the incident. Authorities said their injuries are not life-threatening.

The Prosecutor's office said the murder charged could be filed at a later date. The bond for Hicks and Walker is set at $500,000
