Judge sets $50K bond for Winton Terrace beating suspects

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Two women accused of a vicious beating in Winton Terrace that was later posted on social media appeared in court Monday for arraignment.

Lashawnda Jones, 24, and Geawnna Higgins, 23, turned themselves into authorities over the weekend. Cell phone video recorded during the incident shows two women stripped naked, beaten and robbed. The video was later posted on Facebook.

Both Jones and Higgins were charged with two counts of aggravated robbery in connection to the beating. A Hamilton County judge set bond for each suspect at $50,000.

Jones and Higgins will next appear in court on April 9 at 10:30 a.m.

According to a Hamilton County affidavit, 25-year-old Kianna McMeans was also charged with two counts of aggravated robbery. The victims' property was found inside her car.

Police said the victims are sisters and are recovering from their injuries. One of those victims is currently facing an assault charge herself in relation to a separate incident.

Jakeda Phillips, 25, is also wanted for two counts of aggravated robbery following the incident. She's described at 5'5'', 165 pounds and her last known address is listed on Dutch Colony.
