AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Georgia residents can now register to vote online or via a mobile application, Secretary of State Brian Kemp announced Monday.
A valid driver's license or state identification is required to register, Kemp said. The app will also allow voters to find polling locations and track the status of absentee ballots.
The app is available on the Android platform and will be available on the Apple platform later this week. Voters can search for "Georgia Votes" in the app store.
To register to vote online, Georgians can visit the Secretary of State website.
Kemp launched the new systems Monday morning at a combined Georgia Election Officials Association and Voter Registrars Association of Georgia annual meeting in Augusta with election leaders from across the state.
