Rock and Shop Concert Series starts at Augusta Mall

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The Rock and Shop Concert Series started Sunday at the Augusta Mall Promenade.

The event highlights local music talent in the Promenade at the mall once a month from 3 to 5 p.m. through July. The concert series also features food from some of the mall's exclusive restaurants including Bucca di Beppo, PF Chang's, Moe's Southwest Grill, and The Chop House.

"I am very excited to introduce this new concert series showcasing the fantastic musical talent from the CSRA," said Andy Wilke, general manager of Augusta Mall. "This family-friendly event will give shoppers an opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful spring weather while they shop at the CSRA's premier shopping destination."

Show dates and performers include Palmetto Groove Band on April 27, Garden City Jazz on May 18, Preston and Weston on June 22, and A Step Up on July 27. Shoppers are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to the Promenade to enjoy the free entertainment.

    The new accusation came just a few hours after negotiators had reached an agreement to hold a public hearing Thursday for Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, who accuses him of sexually assaulting her at a party when they were teenagers.
