Lorain Police are investigating after a woman was attacked on Saturday.
Osiris "Maria" Boyer was driving on Washington Avenue when the dashboard on her SUV signaled that her gas cap was not tightly fastened.
When Boyer exited her vehicle, she was struck in the face and knocked unconscious.
"Out of nowhere someone hit me in the face and knocked me unconscious," Maria Boyer said.
Boyer tells 19 Action News she remembers seeing a person dressed in all black and wearing black gloves, but does not remember anything more.
"I saw a pair of black gloves and a black shirt that's the last thing I remember. When I woke up there was blood everywhere," Boyer added. "I hurried up and got back in my truck and left because I didn't know if the person that did it was still there. They didn't take anything."
Even though Boyer wasn't able to clearly see her attacker, she believes her estranged husband may be involved because he has made threats to harm her person in the past.
