AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

A man was shot during a fight over a woman in Akron over the weekend.

It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Wingfoot Way.

The victim, Joseph Campbell, Jr., 21, was found with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.

He was transported to Akron City Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.

19 Action News has learned that Campbell was shot following an argument over a woman.

Officers arrested Melvin Prince, Jr., 22, and Christopher Cory Crenshaw, 19. They were charged with felonious assault and booked into the Summit County Jail.
