6 people charged after drug bust in Aiken

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

Six people are behind bars after Aiken police officers executed a narcotics search warrant Wednesday at 549 Chesterfield St. NE. 

The following people were arrested and charged, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

  • Kenneth Islar, 27, of Aiken is charged with possession drug paraphernalia and possession of crack cocaine
  • Linda Faye Thornton, 57, of Aiken is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Mary Salley, 50, of Aiken is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of crack cocaine
  • Bobby Issac, 48, of Aiken is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia
  • David Williams, 49, of Aiken is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Dushawn Merritt, 33, of Aiken is charged with possession of crack cocaine

Aiken Department of Public Safety narcotics investigators received assistance from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) RAGE (Regional Anti-Gang Enforcement) Unit.

The ATF Rage Unit is a joint gang/violent crimes task force with Aiken Department of Public Safety, Aiken County Sheriff's Office, North Augusta Department of Public Safety, Richmond County Sheriff's Office, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
