AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

The suspect in a fatal shooting in the Petticoat Junction area of Aiken turned himself in Tuesday, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

Reginald Hamilton Jr. was with his attorney when he turned himself into investigators at the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

Hamilton had outstanding arrest warrants for murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

He was taken to the Aiken County Detention Center where he was booked on his outstanding charges.

Deputies have been investigating a homicide that happened in the 200 block of Green Road on March 3. Witnesses called 911 at 6:53 p.m., after hearing gunshots in the area and finding a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Isiah Miles, 35, of Beech Island, was shot multiple times, according to the Aiken County Coroner. He was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
