Motorists should watch out for lane closures and flagmen on several Augusta roads this week, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
One lane on each side of Deans Bridge Road between Glenn Hills Drive and Kipling Road will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Crews will be working on the I-520 widening project.
Crews will also be working to pick up litter and mow the grass on I-520 between mile markers 3 and 6. Rolling single lane closures should be expected on each side of the interstate.
GDOT officials also say crews will still be working to clean up from the ice storm on these roads. Single lane closures or flagmen may be used for this work.
- Gordon Highway, mile marker 0 to 3
- State Route 88, mile marker 0 to 10.85
- Deans Bridge Road, mile marker 8-19
- Roadway sign maintenance and repair on State Route 402, mile marker 194.94 to 201.54
In Columbia County, crews will be continuing to repair a box culvert on Columbia road at mile marker 7.1 Monday through Thursday.
A single lane closure and/or flagman may be used. Motorists are asked to always use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in all work zones.
