CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said that a man was taken into custody on kidnapping and rape charges early Friday afternoon by the U.S. Marshal's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force working in connection with SCMPD.

Torrey Scott is accused of robbing, kidnapping, raping and assaulting a woman on Feb. 9. Detectives with SCMPD's Special Victims Unit had charged him with the crimes against a woman. She was approached as she drove into the Candler Hospital parking lot about 7:30 a.m. Feb. 9.

SVU detectives continue their investigation.
