SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

As we celebrate St. Patrick'sDay, we ask you to also celebrate Mike Manhatton by wearing a blue ribbon to the parade.

Blue is the color for colon cancer awareness. According to the FightColorectal Cancer Organization, adults over the age of 50 should be screened for colon cancer because 90 percent of colon cancers arefound with people in that age group. Anyone at any age could be diagnosed.

The team will be wearing them Friday and on St. Patrick's Day. We ask you to join us, by adding a little blue to your green in memory of Mike.

"I mean, I amstanding here on the cathedral and he would usually be over there on thesouthwest of us on that corner when we came around and he would always grab youand talk to you - if you are in the parade," said friend Tommy Brunson.

Mike's spirit willsurely be at the parade with all of us - and his life and legacy will live onand be represented with blue ribbons.

"The blue ribbontoday is just to remember those who suffer with colon cancer and to carry onthe thought of mike and his struggle with colon cancer as well," said friendKathy Walters Burnsed.
