AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - People in the CSRA had a chance to sample some different kinds of food Saturday night.
The Taste of Something Wild event was held to benefit the Alzheimer's Association and Fisher House of Augusta.
There was a buffet dinner featuring wild game and exotic meats as well as an auction.
Coordinators say events like this are key to help raise awareness about the disease.
"It helps increase awareness about Alzheimer's disease and the services the Alzheimer's association provides to so many families and caregivers in our area," says neurologist Suzanne Smith.
The event was expected to raise about $10,000 to help with both programs and to find out more information about the Alzheimer's Association visit their website.
