NORTHWOOD, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says troopers found marijuana, cash and hundreds of Oxycontin pills on a man from Columbus in traffic stop Tuesday.

The patrol says they stopped a 2004 Honda SUV for speeding on I-75 in Northwood just after 1 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers say they smelled marijuana, prompting a search of the driver and the vehicle.

Inside the drivers pocket, troopers say they found a small amount of marijuana. The patrol says 326 30mg Oxycontin pills and 36 10mg Oxycontin pills, worth more than $10,000, were found inside the car. Troopers also say they found $1,500 in cash.

Anthony Hutchins, 40, of Columbus was arrested on drug possession and trafficking charges and taken to the Wood County Jail.

"It's our effort to make Ohio a safer place to live and to rid drugs off the streets and get criminals off the streets. So it's not only important for us but it is also important for the citizens of Ohio," said Ohio State Highway Patrol Bowling Green Post Commander Lt. Jerrod Savidge.
