Country music filled the air as people crowded the Country Club Dance Hall and Saloon to support the Music for Memories concert.
Andrea Bussey works for the Jud C. Hickey Center for Alzheimer's Care and says this has been the best year yet.
"Each year has just gotten bigger and better," she says.
The sold out concert supports the Jud C. Hickey Center here in Augusta and Bussey says events like this are key for the foundation.
"We are a local non-profit and we depend solely on fundraising, grants and donations. So for us to stay viable and to continue to provide day care services for our clients we depend solely on this type of fundraiser," Bussey says.
This is the fourth year for this event and Lee Brice is headlining the concert this year.
"Lee Brice, his grandfather had Alzheimer's disease so he certainly knows exactly what it takes to be a caregiver and the impact of Alzheimer's on a family and a community," Bussey explains.
And Lee isn't the only one giving back.
"Jon Pardi was at the center this afternoon performing for our clients and he had a very good time and so did our clients," Bussey says with a smile.
The advice Bussey had for those who attended the concert was to get there early.
"Be here early, stand in line we'll be glad to see you once you get in the door, have a great time you're supporting a good cause," she says.
All the money raised from the ticket sales and a raffle at the event went towards the foundation. To donate visit the Jud C. Hickey website.
