Jefferson County Landfill open Saturday for debris drop-off

JEFFERSON COUNTY, GA (WFXG) -

The Jefferson County Landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday so that residents can dispose of debris from the recent ice storm.

The normal charge for this service has been waived and will not apply.

Citizens are asked to take their vegetative debris to the landfill instead of placing it at the green box pick-ups located throughout the county.

The landfill also will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, in addition to the normal Tuesday through Friday operating hours.
