IHOP to serve free pancakes, raise funds for children's hospital

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

IHOP is serving up free pancakes Tuesday on National Pancake Day to raise money for Children's Hospital of Georgia.

Customers can enjoy a free short stack of pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the IHOP on Peach Orchard Road, but are encouraged to make a voluntary donation to support the children's hospital.

The restaurant chain hopes to raise $3 million total for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the nation.

This is the ninth consecutive year IHOP has hosted National Pancake Day. Since 2006, IHOP has raised nearly $13 million and given away more than 22 million pancakes to support charities in the communities where it operates.
