(RNN) - Coldplay has dropped a new song that can only be described as vaporous and experimental ... and ever-so-slightly (OK, really) autotuned.

A heavier synth sound than the band has presented in the past, Midnight first borders on Bon Iver hipster-fest and then morphs into a part club-turner techno.

Fan reaction so far seems to be mixed.

Rihanna and Eminem touring together this summer

If you're a fan of Eminem and Rihanna collaborations like The Monster (WARNING: Only the explicit video version is available) and Love the Way You Lie, you're in luck - the two are hitting the road together this summer in what could be a killer tour.

It's called the Monster Tour and will begin in August, Eminem revealed in an interview with XXL Magazine.

The tour currently only has three dates - Detroit, Las Vegas and New York - but you never know when some new dates could be added.

Fingers crossed.

Chris Brown announces release date of 'X'

Chris Brown fans have been waiting quite a while for his sixth album, X, but it appears he has finally set May 5 as the release date.

Brown originally said the album, which he claims is his best yet, would be released in November 2013, then Dec. 3, 2013, and then he pushed it back indefinitely until settling on the May 5 date.

He's also teaming up with Tyga to release a mixtape this summer titled Fan of a Fan 2, a follow-up to their successful 2010 mixtape, according to MTV.

He dropped a free five-song mixtape, X Files, last November to appease fans after the release of X was pushed back.

Besides preparing for the release of his upcoming album and mixtape, Brown recently completed a court-ordered rehab stay and decided to extend his anger management therapy - it appears 2014 could be an up-and-up year for the R&B artist.

Stamps may be pricey, but they'll soon be rockin'

If you need an excuse to send actual snail mail (you know, the way we all communicated during the Pony Express days before the internet), some cool new stamps may help sway you to pick up a pen and put down your iPhone.

The U.S. Postal Service will be releasing stamps featuring '60s rock icons Janis Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix this year, according to The Washington Post.

And in 2015, the Post says the Postal Service will reissue their best-selling stamp of the King himself. The first Elvis stamp was released in 1993 back when stamps only cost 29 cents. Today the price of stamps has pushed to 49 cents. (Hence why we're using email more?)

Also look for a James Brown stamp in 2015 and a jazzy Sarah Vaughan stamp in 2016.

Madame Tussauds launches interactive music experience

Madam Tussauds New York recently added a new interactive music experience, which was unveiled Feb. 13.

The music experience sets itself apart by offering interactive areas where visitors can play live drums and electric guitar, sing on a performance stage with a microphone and even have their dance moves broadcast onto a video screen.

The experience also features wax figures of popular artists, including Adele, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

City and Colour was announced last week as one of this year's Bonnaroo acts, on top of releasing their video for The Lonely Life.

If you aren't familiar with the acoustic bliss of singer-songwriter Dallas Green, who records under the C&C name, get to know him before you pack your tent and head out to the farm.

And Finally

What do you get when you combine an ancient Chinese instrument with '80s childhood nostalgia? An awesome cover of the Super Mario Brothers theme song, coin-grabbing and mushroom-sprouting sound effects and all.

A YouTube video shows a student, identified by several media outlets as Li Jin Li, of Taiwan, playing the sheng, an instrument dating back to BC days.

Li takes listeners through the main level to the underworld and safely to the castle.

Skill level - awesome.
