Fort Gordon celebrates Arbor Day

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Fort Gordon celebrated Georgia's Arbor Day Friday.

Three new trees now stand at the Fire Department on post, honoring members for their service.

People were encouraged all over the CSRA to plant a tree for those who have served our country through civilian or military life. That included firefighters, police, and members of the armed forces.

Arbor Day in Georgia is celebrated the third Friday in each February.
