AIKEN, SC (WFXG) - Aiken County students missed a few days of school because of the recent ice storm, but the district is trying to make sure students make up some of those days.
Makeup days are scheduled for March 7 and 21. Those days were originally set as teacher workdays.
South Carolina state law requires that school districts schedule in three severe-weather make-up days.
Aiken County Public School District already used Presidents Day to make up for a missed school day two weeks ago due to snow.
The Board of Education and district administration will meet to determine whether students need to make up for the two additional missed school days due to the ice storm.
