HEPHZIBAH, GA (WFXG) - Courtney Rhodes was headed to Patillar Road Monday night to drop off her estranged husband's truck. Richmond County Deputies said, when she got to the scene, she and his new girlfriend, Gina George, began arguing.
Sgt. Michael McDaniel said, "At that time, a verbal altercation ensued between Ms. Rhodes and the defendant, Ms. Gina George."
Officials said Courtney's 17-year-old-daughter Christmas was in the car. When the two tried to leave, George started firing shots at the vehicle.
Christmas was hit in the stomach and the arm. She was sent to GRU for minor injuries.
George was arrested. She is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm or a knife during a crime.
Deputies said they do not know what sparked the argument.
