AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Augusta and the surrounding area is beginning to pick up the pieces after a damaging ice storm moved through the area.
Some city officials said it's the worst damage they've ever seen in our area from a natural disaster.
City garbage crews have transitioned to debris removal.
Augusta has set up several staging sites to bring debris to, including Lake Olmstead.
Power is expected to be restored to 95% of Georgia Power customers by Saturday night, officials said.
