Shepeard Blood Center needs donations this weekend

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Shepeard Community Blood Center is trying to make up for a decrease in blood donations over the past three days due to the winter storm. 

All three Shepeard Community Blood Centers will open this weekend. Bloodmobiles will also be located at other locations in the CSRA. 

These three donation centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday: 

 

  • Augusta Center, 1533 Wrightsboro Rd. 
  • Aiken Center, 353 Fabian Dr.
  • Evans Center, 4329 Washington Rd. 
Bloodmobiles will be located at the following locations: 
  • Augusta Mall behind P.F. Chang's, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday
  • Walmart in North Augusta, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
  • Papa John's on Edgefield Road in North Augusta, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
  • St. Paul Lutheran Church on Trail Ridge Road in Aiken, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday

 

People who donate at the Augusta Mall will receive a coupon for P.F. Chang's. People who donate at Papa John's will receive a coupon for a free pizza. 

Donors should bring a picture ID, and eat a full meal and hydrate well before donating.

Donors must be 17 years old or older without parental permission, or 16 years old with a signed parental consent form.
