Aiken issues boil water advisory for Whiskey Road area

AIKEN, SC (WFXG) -

The City of Aiken has issued a boil water advisory for residents affected by the water main rupture on Whiskey Road Friday morning. 

Those residents should boil water prior to consumption for the next 24 hours, city officials said.

Residents without power who were affected by the rupture should not consume or use water until able to boil it first or until the 24-hour period has expired.
