AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

The president's action allows the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help with the state and local response to the storm in certain counties, including Lincoln and Wilkes counties in the CSRA.

winter storm warning is in effect for the CSRA and most of Georgia. Snow is already falling in northern Georgia, and forecasters a warning of an ice event Wednesday that could cause power outages and hazardous road conditions.
