MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Montgomery Regional Airport tells WSFA 12 News that Delta is canceling all its flights between Montgomery and Atlanta for Tuesday and into Wednesday morning due to severe winter weather.

Airport officials say a decision will be made Wednesday about when the airline will begin flying that route again.

There is one last flight scheduled for Charlotte, North Carolina this afternoon. Beyond that, everything between Montgomery and Charlotte will be canceled through Wednesday.

More than 900 flights have been canceled across the South's main airports in Atlanta, Dallas and Charlotte.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the main hub for Delta Air Lines, led the nation in Tuesday flight cancellations with 368.

According to the Associated Press, Delta is allowing customers expecting to travel through several Southeastern cities from Tuesday to Thursday to make free one-time changes to their itineraries.

The waiver applies to travelers passing through Atlanta; the Carolinas; Huntsville, Ala.; and Norfolk, Va.
