Man charged with murder in nightclub shooting

ALLENDALE, SC (WFXG) -

A 34-year-old man is charged with murder in the August 2013 shooting death of another man at an Allendale club, according to the S.C. Law Enforcement Division. 

Rodrigues Demetress Doe of Allendale is accused of shooting Mario Sharon Singleton in the head with a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun on Aug. 17, 2013, according to arrest warrants. The incident happened between 2:30 and 3 a.m. at the Hole in the Wall nightclub in Allendale. 

Doe is also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent offense, according to the S.C. Law Enforcement Division. He was previously convicted of assault and battery with intent to kill, according to an affidavit. 

Doe could face a minimum of 30 years in prison or death if convicted of the murder charge. If convicted of the possession of a firearm charge, he could face up to five years in prison, a $2,000 fine or both.
