AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - A man and woman are facing charges after Richmond County deputies said they found a credit card forgery device and stolen credit and gift cards in their vehicle during a traffic stop.
Khille Damon Jackson, 29, of Atlanta and Bobbie Lynn Leake, 22, of California are each charged with one felony count of criminal possession of a financial transaction card forgery device, according to the sheriff's office.
A deputy stopped Jackson for speeding on I-20 westbound near mile marker 195 at about 4:45 p.m. Feb. 2, according to the sheriff's office. The deputy found that Jackson was driving without a license. Leake, the passenger, also had no driver's license.
Deputies then found more than 350 credit and gift cards, and a credit card reader and writer in the vehicle.
More than 100 of the credit and gift cards have stolen card numbers assigned to them, according to the sheriff's office.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is working this case with the Secret Service. More charges are pending.
