LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville mother is accused of passing out drunk while her children, ages 2 and 3, wandered outside and crossed a street.
Officers were dispatched to 12th Street and Fisk Court just after 5:00 Saturday morning after a caller reported two small children left alone. When the officers arrived on the scene, the caller advised the children were running across 12th Street. The children pointed out their home in the 1100 block of West Muhammad Ali Boulevard to the officers.
Police said they found Taquilla Parrow, 25, passed out in her bed with a blow dryer turned on and running at her side. According to the arrest report, the officers also discovered pills on the floor, roaches throughout the home, and the oven turned on in the kitchen with the door open and glowing red. Parrow admitted to police that she had been drinking.
She is charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
