Chatham Co. warrant roundup, 18 arrests

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

The Chatham County Sheriff's Office along with U.S. Marshall's and Chatham County Probation Office performed a warrant sweep on Friday and netted 18 arrests.

The goal was to round up some of the more elusive fugitives, according to Chatham County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

Three of the arrests were charged with hindering the arrest of one subject that was wanted in three counties.

Charges vary from probation violation to non-registering sex offenders.

List of charges and arrestee's, from the sheriff's office:

  • Tanisha Miller - State Court contempt.
  • Anthony Jensen - Recorder's Court probation violation.
  • Yvonne Campbel - State Court probation violation.
  • Mark A. Smalls Jr - State Court probation violation.
  • Ricky Boyd - Superior Court probation violation (Sex Offender).
  • Rodney Roberts - Superior Court probation (Sex Offender).
  • James Miller - Superior Court probation violation (Sex Offender).
  • Scott Provencher - Field Arrest (Failure to Register as Sex Offender).
  • Willard Clark - Superior Court probation violation.
  • Antwan Parrist - Superior Court probation violation.
  • George Barnett - Superior Court contempt.
  • Johnnie Hammond - Fugitive (Tennessee).
  • Christopher Mincey - Out of County warrant (Effingham County).
  • Darwayne Smith - Fugitive (Florida).
  • Marcus Parker - Out of County (Mclntosh, Gwinnett, and Fulton).
  • Mutassa Young - Obstruction (hindering arrest of Marcus Parker)
  • Aysha Holmes-Obstruction (hindering arrest of Marcus Parker).
  • Terrance Miller - Obstruction (hindering arrest of Marcus Parker).

    A shooting in Beech Island has left one man wounded. Aiken County PIO Lt. Gaskins confirms that the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Respondents reported to the 200 block of Cary Drive in Beech Island, SC where one man was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound. No suspects have been named at this time. Aiken County dispatch says that a portion of Sand Bar Ferry Rd. is shut down at this time.
