AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Richmond County deputies are looking for four people in connection with a credit card fraud case.
A woman reported that someone entered her attached garage Thursday and took her purse from her vehicle, deputies said. The purse contained her credit cards.
During the investigation, deputies discovered that a man and woman used the victim's credit cards for six successful transactions. They also attempted to make five other transactions but were denied.
The man and woman were seen Thursday at Bob's One Stop on Peach Orchard Road at Boykin Road in a burgundy Chevrolet Trailblazer, according to the sheriff's office. They were towing a trailer with a large plastic fuel tank on it.
Deputies said the same man and woman also were seen driving the same vehicle at Rose's department store on Windsor Spring Road earlier that day.
On Friday, the man and woman entered the Walmart on Deans Bridge Road around 5 a.m. and made several attempts to use the victim's credit cards, deputies said.
Deputies are also looking for two other people, a man and woman, who were with the first man and woman at Walmart. The four were seen driving a gold or champagne colored four-door vehicle with a black hood.
