AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Lanes on several Augusta roads will be closed this week for construction and maintenance, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
One lane on I-520 east near mile marker 4 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
A single outside lane on both the northbound and southbound sides of Deans Bridge Road between Augusta Tech Drive and Kipling Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
One lane on State Route 4 between mile markers 19 and 22.2 will be closed for curb and gutter maintenance.
One lane on each side of I-520 near mile markers 16 and 17 at Laney Walker Boulevard and Sand Bar Ferry Road will be closed for bridge joint maintenance.
Crews will also be working on ditch maintenance on State Route 10 near mile marker 0.1.
Flagmen may be used for this work, GDOT officials said. Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.
