Columbia County 2nd annual Snowfest

EVANS, GA (WFXG) -

There's going to be snow in Columbia County this weekend and lots of it! On Saturday, you can your family can play in the winter wonderland at Evans Towne Center Park. Columbia County's 2nd annual snowfest is Saturday, January 18th. Unfortunately its not real snow, but families can sled, make snowmen, enjoy live music, and attractions, all while giving to a good cause.

"Snowfest is a great event because it brings snow to an area that very rarely gets snow. The kids get to come out and its organized and its safe. So it's a chance for use to experience something we rarely get," said Joe Mullins, owner of Mullins Management and Entertainment.

Tickets are $10 for individuals and $30 for a family of four. You can buy them at the Evans Wal-Mart or here

Proceeds are going to the Deborah Marshall Scholarship fund and John Wetherbee will host the big event.
