CAYCE, SC (WIS) -

Two men were arrested Saturday after police say they robbed a Carolina Payday Loans in Cayce.

Tyrone J. Longmire, 29, and Jeffrey Don Combest, 21, were confronted by officers a short distance from the store and one was taken into custody immediately and the other was arrested after a foot pursuit when he was found hiding in a dumpster, said Lt. J. S. Simmons with the Cayce Department of Public Safety.

Simmons said two concerned citizens helped capture the fleeing suspect when they realized that he was trying to elude officers.

Officers recovered a semi-automatic pistol and money during the ensuing investigation as a result of the robbery, Simmons said.

Both men are being held on slightly over $50,000 bonds at the Lexington County Detention Center.
