A scandal involving Chris Christie's staff, Dennis Rodman's trip to North Korea and Florida State's win in the BCS Championship all made headlines this week.

(RNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie fired an aide and apologized to the mayor of Fort Lee, NJ, for a scandal involving his staff.

Released emails indicate that Christie's aides may have orchestrated a September traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge to punish the Democratic mayor, who did not support Christie's re-election.

Former NBA player Dennis Rodman apologized for remarks he made during an interview with CNN regarding an American citizen imprisoned in North Korea. Rodman and several teammates visited North Korea for ruler Kim Jong Un's birthday.

Florida State University fans cheered when the Seminoles won the BCS Championship over the Auburn Tigers in Pasadena, CA, on Monday. The final score was 34-31.
