The drop in temperatures can take a toll on your car if it's not ready for extreme temperatures.
AAA is expecting a surge of calls during this Deep Freeze from people needing roadside assistance. To lessen the amount of people making calls, AAA has a winter checklist to keep your car running.
Check your battery to make sure it is secure and clean.
Check your antifreeze, it should be at a 50/50 level.
Check you windshield wipers and washer fluid.
Make sure your tires have proper air pressure, because winter weather can affect it.
AAA is also recommending that everyone takes their time on the roads. There are patches of ice and potholes to look out for.
