AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Richmond County deputies responded to a downed power line early Wednesday on Wallace Street, calling it a "suspicious situation."
Deputies arrived at the 700 block of Wallace Street just after 2 a.m. to assist the Augusta Fire Department, Sgt. Shane McDaniel said.
An investigation revealed an unknown person has caused damage to power lines, knocking out power, McDaniel said.
Georgia Power's online outage map update at 2:27 a.m. indicated 719 customers in the vicinity of Wallace Street were without power. According to the company's website, power has since been restored
