Deputies search for man wanted in Scottish Inn shooting death

AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Richmond County deputies are searching for a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of another man Sunday at the Scottish Inn in Augusta.

Ralph Harrell, 40, was shot in the chest just before 1 a.m. Sunday at the motel, located off Washington Road at 1079 Stevens Creek Rd., according to the sheriff's office. Harrell died at the scene.

Deputies said the man wearing a gray hoodie in the surveillance photo is wanted in connection with Harrell's death. The man wearing a black hoodie is a person of interest.

Anyone who can identify the men is asked to contact the Richmond County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 706-821-1020.
