The Special Victims Division of the Columbus Police Department has confirmed that 14-year-old Qualithia Holmes has been found and returned to her family.
Before she was found, Holmes was last seen near the area of Chatsworth Road in Columbus on Dec. 9, 2013.
Police said they renewed their efforts to find her this week and they canvassed neighborhoods where they thought she might be.
By getting in touch with the right people, police succeeded in pressuring Holmes to come forward. Holmes reportedly went to the McDonald's on Victory Drive Wednesday night and asked employees to call 911 because she was ready to go home.
Police have not yet interviewed Holmes to get her explanation of where she's been for the past month.
