Salvation Army hands out toys

The Aiken Salvation Army handed out many toys to families in need to make sure their holidays are bright, Friday.

Families walked out of the Salvation Army's warehouse Friday loaded with big plastic bags full of gifts for children.

"It went fabulous," said Major Angela Repass, of Aiken Salvation Army. "As the families came in, as they received their gifts, they were so thankful and so excited that they had something to provide for their children on Christmas morning now."

The Aiken Salvation Army said they were able to help 500 families in need this holiday season and they still have some food left for any emergencies that may come up as we get closer to Christmas.
