AUBURN, AL (RNN) - After leading almost the entire first half, Auburn struggled for much of the second but held on to defeat Clemson 66-64.

Auburn (5-3) led by as many as 11 points in the first half but started to show signs of struggle as Clemson (8-3) tied it up before halftime. Clemson then took control and held a nine-point lead in the second half before Auburn closed the deficit. The teams went back and forth until the final two minutes, when Auburn, aided by a couple of layups and free throws, held off Clemson to win.

Chris Denson led the Auburn Tigers with 19 points, three assists and one steal.

The win helped Auburn snap a two-game losing streak. They will play at home again on Sunday against the Boston College Eagles.
