A 25-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a July wreck that left two people dead, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
Rodney Kelly was arrested Tuesday and indicted for first-degree homicide by vehicle and serious injury by vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies said Kelly was racing with a motorcycle at about 6:30 p.m. on July 28 in the 2900 block of Ulm Road. The driver of the motorcycle lost control and struck two pedestrians and a vehicle.
Kyterian Jones, the motorcycle driver, and Marcus Kelly, a bystander, both died, deputies said. Another bystander was seriously injured.
Kelly is being held at the Richmond County Jail.
