WASHINGTON, GA (WFXG) -

One man is going all out to raise money for an animal shelter in need.

Scott "Elvis" Vreeland of Washington, Ga. dresses up like the King of Rock 'n' Roll twice a year and collects donations for Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter.

Vreeland will be dressed in his Elvis attire Friday and will be collecting donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the square in Washington. Cash donations, as well as pet food, cleaning supplies, cat litter, and bedding, will be accepted.

Animal shelter employees said Vreeland recently lost his job and could lose his house and car, but still goes out of his way to help the animal shelter.

Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter, a no-kill shelter, relies on volunteers like Vreeland to help raise money and collect donations.
