ETX educator placed on leave after alleged inappropriate communications with student

RUSK, TX - The Rusk Independent School District has initiated an internal investigation immediately after receipt on December 9, 2013 of an allegation of inappropriate communications between an educator and a student.

The educator was placed on administrative leave by the School District on December 10, 2013, pending the outcome of the School District's ongoing investigation.

The name of the student, who is not enrolled in the Rusk Independent School District, is not being released.
