State Representative John Frullo (R-Lubbock) today announced his candidacy for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives in District 84.
"It's an honor to serve District 84 and Lubbock County as your State Representative" said Frullo. "We faced many challenges during the 83rd Legislative Session. Among those challenges were water infrastructure, transportation, and education. We addressed these pressing issues and were still able to balance the state budget while authorizing close to $1 billion in tax cuts for small businesses", he added.
During the 83nd Legislature, Rep. Frullo co-authored key conservative legislation: HB 4, funding the State Water Plan, HB 2, increasing safety regulations for abortion facilities and stopping abortions after 5 months, and HB 500 cutting taxes close to $1 billion for small businesses across Texas.
Rep. Frullo authored and passed HB 2637, increasing penalties for sex offenders who use someone else's identity and HB 2268 to allow law enforcement to obtain evidence across state lines and increase privacy laws. He also co-sponsored SB 742 to improve reporting requirements for the attempted abduction of children and missing children who are often times vulnerable to human trafficking.
This Legislative session, Representative Frullo served on several important committees: State Affairs, Calendars, Pensions, and House Administration. He was also appointed by Speaker Straus to the Energy Council.
Texas Conservative Roundtable recognized Representative Frullo with the "Lonestar Conservative Leader" rating.
