    The U.S. Department of Energy filed an appeal to continue with the termination of the MOX Facility. A judge in South Carolina issued a preliminary injunction to continue the daily operations back on June 7th.     The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a shoplifting suspect. At around 8 a.m. on June 7, the suspect pictured in this article entered the Grovetown Walmart, put a 55" television into their shopping cart, and fled through the Garden Center without paying.

EVANS, GA (WFXG) -

Columbia County residents will join at the Evans Towne Center Park Saturday afternoon to kick off the Christmas season.

The 13th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting starts at 4 p.m. and includes a visit from Santa, live entertainment and arts and crafts vendors. The tree will be lit after dark.

Last year, thousands of people showed up for the event.
