AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

Richmond County Deputies are still looking for a missing patient at a local hospital. Joshawa Clark got away on foot from East Central Regional Hospital Thanksgiving day.

Around 1 P.M. that day, a Campus Administrator at the hospital told Deputies 21 year-old Clark escaped somewhere on Mike Padgett Highway and was last seen heading towards Neptune Drive.

A neighbor told Fox 54, she's lived nearby for forty plus years and patients escaping has happened before, so she's not worried.

Still, Clark was admitted to the hospital on a court order, according to a police report from the RCSO. The report said he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.

That same police report states officers contacted Clark's mother, who lives at the same residence as he does. She told the officer for her safety, she doesn't want her son back in the house. Fox 54 reached out to her, but she declined to comment.

The RCSO was also not available for comment.

Deputies say Clark was last seen near Neptune Drive, on the 1900 block, wearing orange shower shoes, blue jeans, red socks and a white t-shirt.

He is described as being 5'8, 150 pounds, with brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Clark's whereabouts should call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at 706-821-1020.
