Thanksgiving morphs into Brown Thursday for shoppers

HIGHLAND HILLS, OH (WOIO) -

Black Friday make way for Brown Thursday!  It's when hordes of consumers don't want to wait until the day after Thanksgiving to do their shopping.

"I am trying to get a jump on everything and get things started," says one shopper.

After feasting on turkey not yet fully digested they pour into stores looking for bargains.

There are now some 33 million Americans shopping on Thanksgiving.

"We're shopping all night," explains an excited bargain hunter.
The average shopper will spend $738 this holiday season and much of that spending begins on Brown Thursday.
