AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) -

A former Medical College of Georgia employee was sentenced recently in Richmond County Superior Court for falsifying timesheets.

Alishia Williams was sentenced to pay $12,684.97 in restitution, five years probation and 250 hours of community service and a $5,000 fine, according to the Georgia Office of the Attorney General.

While employed by the Medical College of Georgia, which is now Georgia Regents University, Williams was contracted to work as the lead nurse at the Bainbridge Probation Substance Abuse Treatment Center in Decatur County, according to the Office of the Attorney General. Williams is accused of submitting false time sheets, resulting in her being paid for hours she did not work.
