AUGUSTA, GA (WFXG) - Doctor's Hospital officials are gearing up for Turkey Day. Experts said with all the cooking and chaos, accidents happen often, especially burns. Doctors said they expect to see anywhere from 15 to 50 patients during the week of the holiday.
Officials said scald burns and grease burns are common, especially with small kids near stoves and adults cooking. Doctor's hospital officials said for a scald burn, use cool water, not ice cold water, because that can actually cause frost bite.
