GROVETOWN, GA (WFXG) -

A raccoon in Grovetown tested positive for rabies Wednesday, according to the Columbia County Health Department.

The racoon came in contact with a dog in the area of Thoroughbred Way and Lewiston Road, officials said. The dog killed the racoon.

Officials said the dog is up-to-date on its rabies vaccinations.
